About us
I'm Jana Fleck, a fashion designer and founder of ORA.
Jana Fleck
I've been working in design for over a decade, and my path has always been guided by resortwear. It's a world that fascinates me precisely because of the freedom it demands: pieces that accompany real life, breathe with the body, and move between contexts naturally, without losing coherence.
For years, I built my career in this territory. I designed collections, traveled presenting them at international fairs, opened markets, and cultivated relationships of trust with retailers who understood my vision even before it was fully defined. In this process, I learned to create for scale without sacrificing identity, to translate sensitivity into design and care into finishing. I also learned to balance what I needed to say as a designer with what the market was ready to hear.
That's how I built and later sold ZOEW Resortwear. A solid, well-regarded operation that occupied almost a decade of my life.
When I left, I thought I would rest. But creation doesn't retire. It pulsates, reorganizes itself, matures. It flourishes from everything we experience, from what we choose, and from what we learn to see. This journey has led me to a new station, and that station is called ORA. The now.
I designed ORA for the woman I know well: the one who is no longer discovering herself, but recognizing herself. A woman who balances career, family, friendships, and moments of pause without sacrificing herself. Who seeks sophistication but demands comfort. Who values beauty but doesn't accept the complexity of unnecessary decisions when it comes to dressing.
ORA is resortwear with an essential soul. It was born in Miami, where I now maintain my showroom, and carries my Brazilian identity in its vision, in the way I understand color, texture, and lightness. It also resolves a tension I've always felt: how to look impeccable without it costing time, effort, or a constant negotiation with well-being?
That's why I built the brand on versatility as its foundation. Pieces that complement each other easily, ready-made outfits that eliminate the mental exercise of matching. Clothes designed to accompany you from morning at the beach to dinner at night, from casual to formal, with fluidity and without requiring elaborate changes or adjustments.
Our DNA
My DNA as a designer shines through in the details. Clean lines, but never cold. Quilting, visible stitching, crochet, combinations of textures and layering of materials. Elements that only exist when there is a human presence in the process, with hands that guide, adjust and care. That's why each piece carries something unique. The handcrafted doesn't replicate: it creates variations, subtleties and life.
I work primarily with natural fibers, such as linen and cotton. Fabrics that complement the skin, allow movement, and age gracefully. Honest materials, made to last for years, to be used with pleasure repeatedly, to simplify daily life without ever compromising sophistication.
More than selling clothes, I want to bring women together. To build a community that shares the same values: well-being as a priority, effortless elegance, and genuine presence. Women who understand that dressing well is about self-care, not performance. Who know that the most powerful sex appeal comes from being whole, confident, and inhabiting one's own body without conflict.
